Board & Train Program
Investment: $4,000
plus $700/each additional week
This program is offered to dogs that have more serious issues such as dog to dog aggression, resource/food guarding, extreme anxiety or fear, extreme leash reactivity, problems being handled for the vet or groomer, or house soiling problems/potty training problems.
Depending on the severity of your individual dog's issues, we will tailor a program to best fit your needs.
With dogs who are anxious and fearful, it often takes a full week for the dog to acclimate to the new environment and become comfortable enough with us to enter a state of mind that is conducive for learning so that we can start the actual training process.
With aggression and reactivity issues, the extra time allows for lots of repetition and exposure to their triggers so we can work to change their unhealthy associations and help pattern new, safer behaviors.
It is our goal to help dogs become the best that they can possibly be and to teach owners how to safely manage life with their dog to keep everyone happy and safe.
Your dog will learn crate manners, general household manners as well as these commands & skills:
recall (come)
sit/stay
down/stay
place command (lay on their bed & stay until released)
heel (walk politely beside you on & off leash without pulling, barking or over excitability)
polite car riding manners
waiting politely at thresholds (doors, crate, car)
waiting politely for their food
In addition to basic commands & skills, we will be focusing on rehabilitating your dog through their problem areas & teaching them coping skills to better handle life in a more peaceful way.
Includes:
30 MINUTE CONSULTATION
On drop off day, we will go over everything on your form in case anything has changed since the time you booked, including your dog’s issues, your training goals and their feeding amount/details.
TRAINING SUPPLIES
Each dog receives a state of the art Educator brand E-collar, slip lead or prong collar and place cot included in the package price. However, in some cases we need to upgrade to a stronger model E-collar which is an additional charge.
MID-SESSION LESSON
At the 3 week mark, we’ll have a lesson to transfer all of the information and technique over to you and go over our recommended protocols for post training success. We will also get you comfortable working with your dog utilizing the tools hands on so you will be confident implementing everything going forward.
FINAL GRADUATION LESSON
On your dog's graduation day, we will meet you at a public park to show you how to implement the training out in the world. This gives you the opportunity to work through real life experiences with real time coaching from the trainer
